Travels.

Ruth TAFEBE. She ‘s got the soul in her deep voice, which also carries her African Roots, and could be described as a kind of conjunction between Aretha Franklin and Rokia Traoré or between Bob Marley and Miriam Makeba. Ruth TAFEBE, a citizen of the world, was born in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire She moved to Montpellier in the south of France when she was 15 and started her first band, then to New-York where she perfomed at Saint-Nick's pub for the weekly african-Jazz night, she took part in Emoi jazz hosted by late Désiré Gadeau, at his jazz club Music'hall in Abidjan. She has performed in Münster, toured Greece with her Greek brother Giotis Damianidis,  performed with her favorite contemporary circus troupe, "Cheptel Aleïkoum" based in St-Agil, France,was part of Il Festival Afrodisia - Women on Waves at Angelo Mai, Rome , She now lives in Abidjan.
